Overpriced, overcooked and rude, snobby servers. Others had told us this but we still wanted to try it. They were correct! Save your money and try other restaurants in OKC which have much better food and are less expensive.
This was a very disappointing anniversary dinner. The menu was promising; the waiter willing and the drinks were ice with nothing resembling alcohol. We didn't want to get drunk; but, tasting the alcohol would have been nice. It was a waste of a celebration and the use of a great gift card. One meal was very disappointing; it promised to be a wonderful entree and was tasteless and lacking in presentation. If these prices are going to be charged; present something worth paying for.
Excessively pricey for the low quality cuisine and service. We were there well over 1.5 hrs. for a party of two, during a wk. night. They had sufficient wait staff, but they were not attentive to needs and very slow with their service. We had to request bread twice. The food was dry and extremely salty. NOT WORTH THE TIME OR THE MONEY.
This is a terrible attempt at fine dining. While the decor was very sophisticated the food lacked taste. We had 4 different steaks with our order with 2 of the same cut but each one lacked flavor. The favor of the steaks seems more in tune with a bad buffet then a made to order steak. The desserts were decent, nothing to be excited about, except for the banana foster which was terrible. Bananas underneath burnt syrup topped with ice cream. So needless to say, the bananas were not caramelized. They were just bananas. It was the most terrible dessert I have had in ages.
On the plus side, the soups and salads had a very nice taste and the King crab legs came pre-split which the rest of our party enjoyed. However, while the delivery of the soups and salads were prompt it did make a note of how long after it took the entrees to arrive.
All in all, for the price there are much better dining experiences and for a steak almost any steak house would be a better choice.
Worst dining experience I have had in about 5 years. Not only was the service VERY SLOW, here is a list of other things to look forward to....
First, we had 10 people and one basket of 4 rolls.
Second, the butter had hair in it.
Third, the Mozzerella salad had one piece of cheese about the size of a pinky finger.
Fourth, the calamari had hair in it
Fifth, all of our steaks were burned on the outside. Then, the server rolled his eyes when we sent them back.
Sixth, then there was hair in our macaroni and cheese.
We had 3 different servers all of which acted like we were wasting their time.
The only good thing was they took one drink off of each person's ticket or offered a round of drinks. Considering three of us weren't drinking, it actually wasn't that great of a thing.
Granted, they had a full house, but at a place like this they should be able to handle it.
It's about $120/couple and not worth it at all ( IMO ). I would recommend Mahogany or Michael's Grill over this place any day.
If you are looking for a wonderful restaurant for that special evening, Nikz is the place. The food is great, the service is wonderul and the atmosphere is second to none in OKC. You may be able to eat for less money OKC but you will not have the Nikz experience!
We visited NIKZ on our anniversary and I cannot believe this restaurant is not busier than it is. We ordered Filet and Lobster, had a great bottle of Champagne and had an absolutely wonderful evening. We will visit more often and not limit our visits to just special occasions.
If you like fine dining, an intimate atmosphere, dancing afterward to wonderful music and an ambience which if embraced will be second to none in OKC this is the place. If you are worried about pocket change then this might not be for you...but spoil your lady. Git R Done!!!!!
