From our humble beginning as the little lunch spot, Cafe 501 has become synonymous with a discriminating taste in good wine and great food. In 1995, we opened the door to our first love, Cafe 501 Edmond. The vision for our little restaurant on the corner of Fifth & Boulevard was simple; extend warm hospitality to make close friends and offer delicious food to fill our tables with loyal guests. It is a romantic notion. One that we have held onto for over 15 years
Cafe 501 is a bad JOKE! You stand in line to order (lunch)...& if you are not up to date on the menu (a chalk board) WAY up high on a wall.........(BAD for sight impaired people)....you are at a loss WHAT to order!!! Suppose you make it through the ordering.....NOW you try to find a place to sit...so that eventually your lunch is delivered. (You are given a number to put on your table)...You see some girls carrying food trying to find the right tabke,,,,but doesn't seem to be yours. Finally comes your order!! If there are 4 at the table (as was ours)...you are asked......WHO HAS.......?????? A real bummer!! You are lucky if your plate remains on the table as it is slung in front of you! I could go on & on & on. My eating experience at this Restaurant was one of the worst of memory..I cannot believe people consider it a good place to go in Edmond.or ANYWHERE!!! SO LOUD----SO EXPENSIVE---& SO BELOW EXPECTATIONS!!!!
we've never been here, but i had heard and read great reviews about this place so we decided to go check it out...we went there for our anniversary dinner last nite at 6pm, and it was absolutely fantastic! the friendly staff, scrumptious food, and ambiance atmosphere were all to our liking! he had the pork tendorloin, and i had the chicken parmesan. we were too full to top it off with dessert, but he got the bread pudding to go. overall, definitely pleased and will add it to one of our top dinings. you gotta try this place!
