The Rewiews on this page should be updated more often, because, since the new management has taken over(March 2007) the food has improved tremendously. I moved here in 2006 and decided to try WS out. That I am sorry to say was a big disapointment. The new management has improved it 100%.
The salad bar has so many selections that you could fill up on that alone. Hot bar has always been well stocked, but if not all you have to do is ask a server and the cook will have it refill in no time at all. Have even had the cook bring my request to the table, that was a surprise. The times that I have ordered a steak it has come out to my specifications. A friend had ordered a medium rare and it came out a little over done but no problem they took it back and brought back one that was cook perfect. Their deserts and bakery also has sugar free foods which also taste great. Since I am retired and don't like to cook that often we go there quite a lot. The staff has always been polite and friendly, even when it has been really busy. The manager has even came out to talk to the customers to see how everything is. If anyone has a complaint he will do his best to see that it is taken care of. Now if this web site would just get in gear and update their site it would help a lot.
We had not been there for a long time (2 years) because it had deteriorated so much. We went there for breakfast Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 to give them another try, saw a sign about new management a few months ago.
The buffet was poorly stocked. Some items were completely out. They did finally bring more potatoes. There were only 3 other tables besides us. We went again with a group on Sat. Feb. 12, 2011 (breakfast.) Again, the buffet was very low the first time we went through. When we went back, it was (literally) empty except gravy. They ran out of eggs and had to go to the grocery to buy more! We left so I don't if they actually got more eggs.
Some people tried to order from the menu and they didn't have 3 items.
I felt sorry for the waitress. Unbelievable!
I was not asked if I wanted to pay a gratuity that was automatically put on my bill. The big deal senior discount (.80) was a joke. The buffet was not well supplied. The salad bar was empty, at least 3 meat serving dishes were empty. Since this was a buffet only night, there should have been more attention being paid to the buffet, not empty and the food that was there was cold. I want to decide my own gratuity based on the service I receive.
We ate there on Saturday March 17th, 2007. I have never seen a Western Sizzler that couldn't cook steaks until then. I ordered mine medium it came out of the lkitchen black, sent it back 2nd one was well done but not black. Dry but i could eat it but will not be going back there.
