use to be good when the owners actually cooked. pad thai was oily and tasteless. fried rice was tasteless. decor was great though. ordered basil fresh spring rolls..when i took the bite, no basil. noodles were still a little uncooked.
My Husband and I LOVE this Place. The Staff is ALWAYS sweet and eager to Please! The Owner is awesome and so Friendly. He is always wanting to hold our twin boys and Take one to Keep. :) The food is even better than the service, if that's possible. He has put so much work and effort into his restaurant, it doesn't even look like the building he started with!! Highly Recommend Thep Thai Restaurant!
One of the best Thai food place in Fayetteville. I have never had a bad experience here. As good as Taste of Thai and less pricey. We eat there weekly and have had excellent service. Don't know what Nicole's beef could possibly be.
I've been in the Fayetteville area for 20 years. This is my top choice when going out to eat. Wonderful food, great staff, and decent prices. Plus the beer selection is super. This place is a must for anyone interested in great Thai food. Order it Thai hot.
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE COMMENT BELOW because I was eating and trying to enjoy my meal there. I actually saw what happened. I've been eating there for years and never had any problem at all. That customer was very rude to the server and had a bad attitude. And I couldn't believe she threw things at the poor server. and YES she deserved to get kicked out of the restaurant. How embarassing!!!
Food and service there are excellent. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely go back again.
OMG, please DO NOT go to this place. The food is mediocre at best and not very spicy or flavorful. But that is not the reason you should not go. The service is HORRIFIC. Our server, who told us she was the owner's daughter, was rude as hell from start to finish. She snapped at us and was totally unwilling to satisfy us. There were 6 in our party and two of our orders were wrong. Four in our party completely finished their food before the other 2 got theirs. When we told her the service was unacceptable, not only did she not apologize, she told us not to come back if we didnt like it. The gaul!! After I paid, I threw her copy of the cc reciept and her pen on the floor and gave her the finger as I walked out. Now I feel justified!
I hadn't been to Thep Thai in a long time. Wife and kids went on July 28th 2007 and all found the food to be delicious. We sat outside on the new patio with the thatched bamboo ceiling in view of the fountain with its numerous rock-lined pools and enjoyed the scenery immensely. The owner came and sat down with us for some chit chat. Quite a personable fellow. When we were forced to come inside due to high winds, the waitress already had a table waiting for us. This restaurant's staff is very welcoming, much more so than another thai diner that we normally frequent. Food was much better. Taste was not hidden by over-spicing dishes as we have commonly found. Pad see euwe was great. Cannot wait to go back. Definitely worth the drive from Springdale.
I have eaten at many different with friends and family and have yet to find one that even competes with this place. The staff crew goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and part of the Thai family. The owner has sat with me and chatted numerous times which allows for a relaxed atmosphere while still bringing the authentic Thai cuisine to the table. The food is delicious! The new additions that are being made (outside patio, fountain, and entrance) continue to set the bar for other Thai restaurants around NWA. I would recommend this place for anyone that wants to enjoy true Thai food made from Thai chefs who know the food better than anyone else. GREAT PLACE TO EAT!!!
