We stopped in for supper the food was ok not great but not that bad the service was way below par we never got refill on drinks no one asked if we was ok and when we got tired of asking for our drinks we was told we was rude and we got our fat bellies full and to get out

Not sure why the other posters ragged on about this place, we stopped on our way thru the area and had a fantastic dinner, staff was very polite. I recommend it.

My wife and I did not enjoy the meal. The fish, soggy and the service was for sure terrible.

So we go to this restaurant because I love southern country cooking and it was written up in Southern Living, so it had to be good, right? Wrong! The waitress who seated us was talking to one of her friends on the phone. She never even looked at us and just dropped off 2 menus and some silverware at a table before walking off. During the meal, she never once asked if she could get us anything or whether we were enjoying the food. The food itself was decent at best and underseasoned. Most of the food lacked salt, the mashed potatoes weren't creamy, and the fried fish wasn't crispy. On the positive side, the fried chicken was pretty good, and the pumpkin muffins were excellent. That's about it. We didn't try the fried pies, but they sounded good. Will never go back again.

I have been there lots of times cause I live near there..

Driving through the area from PA, stopped for breakfast. Wonderful breakfast buffet, staff was very friendly, refilled our beverages and took care of all our requests. Will definitely stop again if in the area.

Was there last weekend, (4-20-08). Service was good, the waitress was very polite. Chicken fried steak was way above average, the buffet looked good from what I could see. Very scenic ride coming down 14 in Arkansas. Will definitely do it again.

The selections listed on the menu were not on the buffet. I took a bite of the cornbread muffin and it was so dry it exploded and crumbled all over. The waitress never offered to refill our drinks and my dinner date found a nasty, slimy brown thing in the bottom of his ice tea. The salad bar was out of RANCH dressing and no one bothered to refill it. The fried chicken was tasty but tough. I liked the fried catfish very much. But for $10.99 I could eat better at Captain D's.
