This Japanese food joint features the typical chef dynamics on the hibachi grill as entertainment. So while you wait for the grub you watch it diced, cooked, flipped and flopped all over the place at speeds that almost defy sight. While Shoguns is perfect for a group or even when dining alone, if you care to have intimate conversation this is not the place to do it. All meals are served to groups of 10 as the comical chefs prepare food fresh on the hibachi grill. Choose from chicken, steak or shrimp stir-fry, or a combination

8 reviews for Shogun Japanese Steakhouse
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/08
Compared to other Shogun Steakhouses, this one ranks dead last. The atmosphere is so-so. I took a group of students there and the chef was not entertaining at all. He was boring. As for the food, the rice was clumpy, the steak was tough and stringy. Definitely not a choice grade steak. Also the menu said that each dinner came with a shrimp appetizer which we didn't get. I have taken taken a group of students to this steakhouse for the past three years and this will be the last. Too bad this Shogun has not kept up with the quality of the Shogun's we frequent in Fayetteville and Branson.

Eddie is the Bomb
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/06
As I continue my trek across the Little Rock Sushi scene, I found Shogun. It was very busy, and although it was crowded they seemed to sit people fairly quickly. I was seated at the Sushi bar immediately, and filled out my order form. I watched Eddie do his thing, quietly, but adeptly. The sushi was excellent, and portions balanced perfectly with the price. The only thing I would change would be the Miso soup. It was westernized...I like mine with kelp and tofu, thiers was made more for the American tastes. Other than that, well worth the trip. Check it out!

The BEST Sushi and Tappen in the LR/NLR Area!
By Di, 09/26/05
We visit at least once a month, for my sushi cravings!! Eddie, the sushi chef, is LR's best kept secret! SHHHH---don't tell anyone! You must try the plum wine! But we also love the cooked side of the restaurant. The best "chop-em-up" in the area. My husband and I often get the feast and split it, with an extra fried rice. Plenty to share and you get everything they make. Superb loster, shrimp, scallops, teriyaki chicken, and of course steak!! Our kids love the fried rice and the show! Our dauther knows it by heart. On occasion, we have fought over the leftovers!

Great restaurant
By the Smyths, 06/08/05
We come to Little Rock every summer and one of our main traditions is to eat at Shogun's while we are there. The food is wonderful, the chef's are top notch and the service is great. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys asian food.
