Park Place Restaurant, Texarkana

This restaurant receives zero stars. Why? It was the worst dining experience ever! 1. They didn't take reservations (What fine dining establishment does not take reservations?) 2. Parking lot/entry, restrooms were not handicapped accessible (I called in advance to specifically ask if it had ramps, restrooms accessiblity, etc.- They told me YES. They LIED!) 3. We arrived at 5:45 and left at 8:30 (We were told we had a 30 minute wait. It turned out to be an hour.) 4. Food took over an hour to cook. 5. Server was non-existent & disappeared. She never filled our glasses. We finally asked her to check on our food. She disappeared and never came back to report. It took forever for her to come for the payment! 6. Server had NO knowledge of menu at all! 7. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the food mysteriously appeared! 8. We were obviously upset, but no staff appeared bothered enough to even offer to make our dining experience better by even offering a complimentary dessert, They didn't care! We couldn't wait to leave! We will never return and highly recommend that you don't either! Service is non-existent at Park Place!

My husband and I were given a gift certificate to eat here for Christmas and it was great! The food was heavenly, We enjoyed the variety of the salad bar. I had a steak and fried shrimp. The shrimp was the largest and best tasting that I have ever had. My husband had the fresh snapper and commented that it was the best fish he had ever eaten in a restaurant. The martinis were excellent. Our waitress was very nice and very attentive. Prices were not as expensive as I thought. Great food and service. We will eat here much more often in the future.

This place is horrible, the food was way over priced and not good at all. The service was extremely lacking. Overall experience was a bad one. Beware!

The best atmosphere, very romantic and tranquil. This place gets a bad rep for its prices, but you don't pay any more here than you would for a steak in any of the chain restaurants. This place is awesome, and is Texarkana's best!

Park Place is absolutely the best restaurant in the Texarkana area. The chef does a fantastic job. We found the food to be outstanding (especially the Oysters Bienville). Service here truly makes you feel special. It is a great place to eat, drink and visit with friends. My friends and I also enjoy the entertainment in the bar on the weekends. We will go back as often as possible. The atmosphere at Park Place is unmatchable!
