I've lived in Texarkana for almost 40 years. Up until the other night I've NEVER eaten at Lee's Chinese. Always heard it was good but never tried it. A good friend of ours recommended it and my wife was keen to try it for her birthday dinner / date. We were NOT disappointed! We were greeted by a very sweet lady and the service was good. A bit of a language barrier but hey, it is a Chinese restaurant! :-)
As for the food. Excellent. I had the Mongolian Beef and my wife had the Lee's fried rice. (a fried rice with all of the meats, pork, chicken, beef, and shrimp.) Both were excellent. The soft drinks are sold by the bottle, so no refills but we enjoy the sweat tea and had all we could drink there. We loved it so much we went by the next night for pickup for the whole family! I think we have found a new family fav!
This is a small family owned restaurant. If you are looking for five star furnishings and snooty waiters, move on. This is good food, sweet folks, and great prices. My kind of place!
Now there are two in town, most folks I know say the one on Stateline is better. I don't know but that is what I hear,
I recommend their pepper steak with fried rice, egg rolls, cheese wontons, egg drop soup, sweet & sour sauce, soy sauce etc..... The sweet and sour chicken with fried rice is not bad either. Drive thru and take home today!
