Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, West Monroe

This particular Cracker Barrel all though has several bad reviews listed obviously has mae some drastic changes in management and new employees. The atmospher at this location is more than relaxing. Staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and know how to please people. Food is top quality, and may be the fastest casual dining restaurant in this town. We are lucky to have this establishment in our town Love this Cracker Barrel.

Typical CB: gets really busy at times and sometimes patience is required, food is good home cooking and the staff is responsive but sometimes a little overwhelmed. Lots of hungry folks out there, I guess.

My Fiancee and I went here one evening when there was hardly anyone in the place at all...We sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order....This same waitress had walked by our table at least 8 times previously yet never said a word to us....Then, I found an extremely long hair in my water glass....NASTY!! The manager did cut our ticket in half for us though....But, I won't be going back.....

My family stopped for a late morning breakfast on 8/16/08 on our way from TX to FL for vacation. The food and service were both excellent. There were 7 of us in our party and our waitress, Ruthie made sure we were served promptly and back on the road as soon as possible, since our kids were anxious to get to the beach. We dined out many times over the next 7 days and no other service compared to what we received from Ruthie at the Cracker Barrel in W. Monroe, LA. We will definintely stop again on our next trip.

I have been to this restaurant in the past several times, and each time it has taken an insane amount of time to get the food to our table. They are incredibly slow and nothing on the menu has ever been that spectacular. I haven't been back here in years because it's just not worth it....go somewhere else.

Yet again I am writing another review on the food here in Monroe. I have been to a couple of Cracker Barrel's around the United States, but this is by far the worst. The service was ok, and the speed was average. But the amount of food I recieved on my catfish platter was horrible. The amount would have been sufficient, if I was six years old. It was just amazing how the chef would send out a dish with very little on it. It tells me, the consumer, that the management and supervision of that place is either very irresponsible, or just negligent. I was upset, usually their food is great, but this time, it was nothing short of the word, unpresentable. So there have it.
