Cormier's Cajun Catering, Monroe

If you like crawfish, or even if you've never tried crawfish, you have to try this place. The crawfish is spectacular. If crawfish isn't to your liking then the Pig Sandwich will surely make you want to come back. Wear jeans or shorts and plan on having a relaxed dinner.

Some of the best Crawfish I've ever eaten. Served outside fresh & hot (spicy too). I work in Monroe a few times each year and make it a point to eat at Cormier's. The previous negative poster must have visited on an off night (if there is such a thing). This crawfish is better'n anything I've had in New Orleans.

I visit my fiance in Monroe every weekend. We have a ritual of eating at only locally owned establishments. Went to Cormier's so that she could eat boiled crawfish for the first time. I've been eating crawfish my entire life, and can honestly say that they were the worst crawfish I have ever eaten. My fiance ate two. Hopefully she will try them again sometime. The seasoning is apparently dummped on the crawfish after they are boiled. Entirely too hot, with an over abundance of clove. The crawfish weren't washed prior to boiling, so the plate was covered in rice grass. The waitress offered to wash them for us and then bring them back to table. We declined, shelled out forty five dollars for five pounds and four beers, and both agreed we would never return.

I used to eat at Cormier's twice a month when I lived in Monroe. Unfortunately I have not had occasion to visit the restaurant since I relocated to Atlanta back in January of 1998. The Pig Sandwich was my favorite, but I no longer eat pork. I do recommend the fried turkey, however. I plan to be in Monroe for Thanksgiving, so I will make it a point to visit the restaurant then.

I haven't eaten at the restaurant, but have had Cormier's cater my wedding reception in Ruston, LA (albeit that was about 6 years ago!). The service was great and food was even better! My husband and I still think that the food was the best part of the reception and should have eaten more of it while we had the chance!

This place has great boiled crawfish, pork sandwiches, and is fun for the whole family. They have a jumper for the kids, cold beer, and a laid-back atmosphere!
