Ichiban Sushi Bar & Japanese, Baton Rouge

Good service, great tasting sushi and Miso Soup as well as reasonable prices. I travel frequently and Ichiban is what I judge other Sushi restaurants against. Most can't even compare. Amendment: 10-20-11 They've done it again. Perfection with every bite just perfect.

The best Japanese restaurant ever! No one makes spring rolls like they do. I would definatelly recommend this restaurant before you go to any other Japanese restaurant.

The food is soooo goooood!!!! This is the best sushi I have ever head raw and cooked. The spicey tuna salad is great! Going back this weekend!!!!

Good food, but they take forever. They dont realize during the lunch hour that people have to actually be back at work.

I waited for nearly an hour and a half with a group of friends for a teppan table. During that time I saw and heard the teppan chef do the same old tricks over and over again. By the time we were all finally seated I was already annoyed. That wouldn't have bothered me if the food had been halfway decent, but it was an oil covered inedible mess.

Ichiban is great, the Ichiban Roll is the best I've had.

The best sachemi, rolls and spicy tuna cucumber salad I have ever had.

They have the best sushi in town bar none. And the Hibachi grill was great. The chef was great and food was awesome.

None of the Japanese restraurants is owned by Japanese in BTR, and this one comes closest to what you get in Japan. Sushi is good, and combination dinners (a little pricey) are also good. Service is good. Ambience is good. It's like a Toyota Camri; Nothing is exceptional, but everything is good. There are some underrated items in this place: Seafood fried rice, Tempura Udon, and Chicken Katsu. There are way more than Sushi in this place. Teppan-yaki is fun. Try once (maybe not twice)!
