Well we found crawfish. Waited till Mr Keet s opened and I must say it s the WORST $130 we have ever spent. Anyone who boils crawfish knows you must take out the dead ones before cooking. Hint for the cook: If it smells like it s been dead a week it should be thrown out and not cooked to ruin the good ones. The only good part of the $130 was the $16 tip we left the awesome waitress. She cared enough to continue asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything even after we handed her several crawfish that were black and rotten to take to the cook to show him. Seems even the owner who was in the building didn t seem to care about the quality of food being served. When we walk out with lost appetites and leaving the food behind, I can promise you we won t be returning.
Been to this restaurant a few times crawfish have always been good. The fried food not so much. The first few times we went we ordered the crawfish, potatoes, corn common boiled stuff. We received two of the smallest potatoes I have ever seen $1 an order thank you very much. The last time we went I wanted some lemon for my crawfish sauce, without telling me I would be charged for the lemon, there was 75 cents charge on my check. Please a quarter a slice thank you very much. We will not be going back. Wish I could give no stars.
We went last year for crawfish. We ordered crawfish. A table came in right after us. They placed their order right after we did. (about 10 minutes later and had same amount of people at our table as they had) The waitress came back and told us they were out of crawfish. Next thing we knew, the table that came in after us got their crawfish! We will never go back there again. That was bizarre and we were baffled. The waitress made up some sorry excuse. If you want to experience bizarre service...go to Mr Keet's..
I am origionally from Abbeville, but been away from home for 13 years in the Navy. I go there every year that I go to LA, and I always get the boiled crawfish and it is awesome. My wife from GA also loves the food there.
I found my experience there to be very positive but i ate there and the service was fast i ordered the boiled crawfish and it was delivered in less then 5 minutes and the waitress was the best i ever seen i would certainly recommend this to anyone.
