Casa Manana Mexican Restaurant
Since 1976, the menu has been filled with fine Mexican food for a great price. Every morning, they cook a batch of salsa, fry crisp tortilla chips and make dough from scratch that produces steaming hot tortillas cooked to order. The fajitas are marinated for a minimum of 24 hours to ensure the most tender product, and then grilled to perfection.
Ugghhh awful, but this is probably because I have been spoiled by El Tapatio in Lake Charles. If you want cold, unisnspired food and thimble sized margarita's, then go to Casa. If you want hot, awesome food and a normal sized margarita for about half the price, then go to Tapatio.
Okay, all the prior posters seem very mistaken. This is a good place to eat, in fact, one of my favorites, but it is NOT authentic Mexican food. You want good, authentic Tex-Mex - go to Cancun. Casa is the type of Mexican food I can cook myself at home. Think if you prepared burritos or enchiladas at home yourself - this is exactly what Casa provides to its customers. I can say the food is NOT like mexican tv dinners - that honor is held by Casa Ole. Casa Manana's food is better, but Cancun has the best food and the best service. The service at Casa is off and on depending on the staff and, I suppose, the economy - if you're lucky to get one of the wait staff who's been there a while, service is awesome. Check the State's health department site regarding violations - Cancun actually scores much higher than Casa. Think twice before you decide where you want to eat. Me, I'm actually planning to have lunch at Casa today, but I prefer Cancun.
I love this place the cleanest and best food in the city. I love the chimichangas and the cheese puffs. The cheese puff are a favorite of my children. I have never seen them before. You gotta try this place
