I am a frequent business traveler and so have eaten in restaurants all over the country. Having said that, Bojangles is a serious contender for being the worst restaurant that I have ever eaten at.
The restaurant was filthy, the food was awful, and the service was so horrible as to be laughable. For the entire time that I was there, I was surrounded by dirty tables. Even though they were not busy, no one seemed interested in cleaning them. Then when I asked the server for the check, I watched him wander aimlessly around the restaurant for 20 minutes before I finally had to approach him with my money in hand.
When I see the positive reviews for this place, I am completely baffled. In general, the food in the area is great and there are some wonderful restaurants. So I canât help but wonder where the people come from who actually like this place? How does this place even remain in business?
To sum up my experience, if this passes for sushi in this part of the country, then I really feel very sorry for the people who live here full time.
This place had good sushi at one time but, it has gone down hill. Wont eat over there again. Last 3 times i went the sushi rolls would fall apart as soon as you would pick them up. Service is ok depends on who your server is. Asked to speak to the manager one time, and he could barley speak english. If you like the bojangles shrimp you should go to bonefish grill in laf. and have the bang bang shrimp. If you want good sushi go to Tsubaki. If you want good Hibachi go to Toko Live. The only good thing about bojangles is it is close to all of the bars down town New Iberia.
WILL NEVER GO TO BOJANGLES AGAIN. This place is very disgusting. I like to eat at clean places, since this is my food that they are fooling with. The plates and settings were filthy, and the sushi is very sloppy. I also caught them picking food off the floor and put it back on the plate. If it was mine, I would've caused a riot. I went there to eat again with my wife about two weeks later, you know give them a second chance, and here comes a roach crawling across the table. I notified the owner (Darin, I believe he was), but he did not do anything about it, and acted as if he couldn't speak English! This dump is a hit AND miss!
Bojangles is awesome. The food is very fresh. Tsunamis was my favorite till we tried Bojangles. Fresher than RikRak definitely. Try it, it's local and they do serve cooked foods also. My daughter loves the Bojangles shrimp!!!!
After a morning tour of Avery Island I stopped at Bojangle's for a late lunch/early dinner. The servers were very attentive and the food arrived hot in a very timely manner. The calimari pepper dipping sauce was unexpected, but fantastic. All of the rolls we tried were great. If I am ever back in New Iberia I will make sure to squeeze in a trip to Bojangle's.
We went here for lunch today. Where do I start?! The chefs and waitresses looked stressed out, I'm guessing they didn't have enough help, because I could hear them saying customers complaining about it taking too long.
I ordered the Rainbow roll which is my favorite from Tsunami's. When our waitress brought he plate, you could smell this awful smell!! It was the fish! They served bad fish. Ugh, everything was horrible. From the service to the sushi. :(
