China One, Lafayette

I found this place 7 yrs ago... few times a month lunch or dinner this place is great.... food and service. The family that runs / owns this place are the sweetest people.

One of the best chinese restraunts in Lafayette.I eat here atleast 3 times a week.Excellent service and great food.There is always so much in my plate I could barely eat it all lol.And all at a great price.You can't find better food for a better price.If you eat here once I promise you'll be coming back for more.

We had takeout from here last week and again today. This is the best chinese food I have had in years. They are super friendly and quick with service.

I only recently discovered china one but now it's a great convenient stop on my way to my afternoon classes. I'm vegan and it's great to find a place that I have more than one option at. The tofu broccoli is to die for. [In reply to the last review get something vegetarian , if you have a problem with the meat. Everything I've had has been really good]

The food here was terrible. The worst Chinese in Lafayette I've had. The fried rice was very bland. One of the shimp in my rice was bad-squishy and foul smelling. The meat was so over done as to be unrecognizable. That was possibly the only mercy, because I do not believe that they were made of meat that the government approves for human consumption. Ah hem...meow. The Fried food was either so greasy that it dripped, or so over cooked as to be half black. I threw away almost all of my food, and from the little I sampled, I'm feeling ill. I gave it one star, but really I wish I could give a half. Clearly all of the other reviews here were written by employees. This place should be shut down. DO NOT EAT HERE! -JD

China One is incredibly clean and everything is made to order. The husband and wife who own it are extremely kind and, after you have been there once, she remembers who you are. Their food is wonderful and fresh with great vegetables. I recommend it to everyone!

I don't even know where to start with China One. The service is great; It is a family owned business and they are very nice. I go there so much they know exactly what I want and how I want it fixed. I have ordered several items from the menu and it was all delicious. They give a very gracious amount of food and I rarely can finish it. After eating here, I haven't found a Chinese place anywhere that comes close.

I have yet to find better Chinese food in Lafayette. They have great service, and she really does remember your order when you go in. Always hot and fresh and they have great veggies... not just carrot cubes and peas. I'm vegetarian and they do a great job of making any of the meat options vegetarian by adding the sauce to the veggies. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Also have a lunch special that's a great value.

Definitely the best Chinese food in Lafayette. You get a lot for the price (especially for lunch!), and the people there are very nice. I'd pick up a menu when you leave for calling in your order because you'll definitely be going back!

LOVE this place. You definately do get lots more than you pay for. I can never finish it all. and they know you there. They know pretty much what we like, how many cokes, and how many diet. It's always clean and I can't say enough about it.
