My husband and I went to Cafe' Vermilionville for a romantic night out. We couldn't have asked for a better time. The food was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The service was just as good. There was a fire going along with candle light. The restaurant itself was a delight to be in. We will definitely go back! Highly recommended.
I've been here 5-6 times and really only thought it was great once. When friends say they want to eat out in Lafayette I'm always ready to go because we have some of the best restaurants anywhere. When they say they want to go to Cafe' Vermillionville I tell them that I'll catch up to them next time and take a pass.
This place is WAY over rated, and Way over priced. There are 10 other restaurants in Lafayette where you can get a nice meal for two people for far less money.
My ratings: 5=superior 4=excellent 3=very good 2=good 1=poor
Crawfish beignets, corn and crab bisque, unique and rich salads, completely wonderful french bread, entrees that embrace and envelop the senses, this place is a wonderful memory of elegant enjoyment and a warm step back in time.
Charming and inviting, Cafe Vermillionville is a stop you will not want to miss! Equally compares to the famous restaurants that make New Orleans known for it's amazing food.
I only wish Arizona was closer to Lousiana! Cherie U. Mesa, AZ
