This is an amazing 50's style diner with Excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grab a blue plate lunch and a bargin. I'm a local and eat at HCD at least once a week.
The diner is owner operated and the owner ensures that the restaurant is customer service friendly. An added bonus is a menu with a Cajun/Creole flair.
I live in Lake Charles, LA and always visit Hub City Diner when I'm in Lafayette - once a month. Love their appetizers especially the onion rings and the fried mushrooms! I enjoy their salads, too! Really good rootbeer floats. I always enjoy their hamburgers. I'm always satisfied when I visit this diner. Oh! And my kids always enjoy the classic car food trays that the kid meals are served in. Overall, a great place to eat and relax for a meal.
When I walked in and saw that it has the old times theme, I love it. The first time I went was to the one on College across from Lafayette General. I liked that one, but it was too crowded and small for the amount of people that attend it. Which is alot. But now I go to the one on Kaliste Saloom and it has everything. The food is wonderful, I always tip the waitresses a good amount because they are unbelievably awesome and sweet. Now, I am working at Hub City Diner, and no matter how many times I walk in there I will never stop liking it.
GREAT FOOD AND PRICE WITH A 60s FLAIR! JACOB LOVES TO EAT HERE. IF YOU GO, U MUST HAVE THE ATOMIC FRIES AND/OR THE BREAD PUDDING---YUMMY! THE SERVICE IS AWESOME, WE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AND WE GO SEVERAL TIMES A MONTH.
A very friendly atmosphere and the best tasting burgers! My other favorite is their fried pickles! A must for anyone. I haven't had a bad thing there. Lots of fond memories. It was my husband's favorite place before he passed away.
This used to be my favorite restraunt tin Lafayette. The sytle is charming, the service good, and always a great sound track. The last four times I've been however, the food was either warmed over, old, or over cooked. I have since stopped eating there due to the poor quality of the food. Sorry guys...
