Great for takeout. The food is fresh and the portions are large for the small price that you pay. The staff is very friendly and my order was ready 10 minutes after I called it in. The atmosphere is small but the menu has a huge variety of rolls.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette. It is the best Sushi I have ever had. The restaurant is family run by husband and wife and they are very nice people. There are not very many tables and a lot of people make to go orders so it may take a little time to get your food but it is well worth the wait. The house salad is absolutely fabulous. It has fresh strawberries and spinach in it with a house made ginger dressing. Every thing I've ever ordered here was great.
I either write if something was HORRIBLE or if something is the BEST! This is by far THE BEST! Ive been to countless sushi places, and they all taste about the same and over priced! this place, OMGGG SOOO GOOD! and I dont feel ripped off!! I crave this place every single day since Ive had it!! I went there the first time at night, at lunch the next day I had it again!! Usually with sushi when I eat it, I dont want it again for months! but not this place. If you get the Hettie Roll with the sauce on top!! OMG youll be addicted! Plus, they are so personal, when I go there, the lady knows exactly what I want, and how I want it! ( I have special request)
Out of any sushi restaurant I have been to, this is absolutely the best. A hole in the wall, yes, but when you are paying the price for 3 rolls compared to one, you cannot beat it. I eat there at least twice a week. They can look forward to seeing me there regularly.
Such a great sushi restaurant with pretty good prices!! If you do go at around 12 lunch, be prepared to wait as it is a very small restaurant with only the one lady waiting tables! But the food is so good! I love the Elizabeth Roll!! Also, they always have new kind of rolls which are awesome!!
In summary, if you don't mind waiting then definitely check it out! One of the best sushi places in town! :)
Of all the sushi places in Lafeyette, this place is the BEST. After eating at Oishi I can't eat sushi at any other place, it just doesn't taste right anywhere else. A little pricey but def. worth the money. It's always fresh, made right in front of you.
