If you love authentic sushi, Little Tokyo will not be your choice unless you are quite desperate. My friend and I were hungry when we first arrived, so of course we ordered an appetizer (squid steak) and lots of sushi rolls. First, a wrong appetizer was served. Instead of hot grilled squid, a cold pickled squid salad was sent to our table. 5 minutes later, the waiter notified us the mistake and made it right. The complimentary soup was strange. As for the main dishes, the sushi rolls were so messy that I doubt the chef was trained professionally. Rice was everywhere and the shape of sushi was not acceptable. They tasted just OK and nothing exciting. It was a waste of time to drive over the lake from New Orleans and have lousy sushi. One tip about having exotic food is to look around after you are in the restaurant. If you see most of the crowd are from the country where that cuisine is located at, you pick the right place.
