This is my favorite Restaurant on the Northshore. Ask for the Nicolaus sauce for your panneed veal and fish. You will think that you died and went to heaven. Never a bad meal and always great portions. Cannot believe anyone would have a bad experience there...service is impeccable.
I have been a patron of Sal & Judy's for about 25 years and it is always consistently great food. The Italian dishes like the lasagne, cannelloni and Brucioloni are always great but mo favorite is the paneed veal and pasta. The veal is fork tender and cooked perfect and Sal's Italian sauce is the best. Very consistent food and service, very inexpensive, and I always take leftovers home to enjoy the next day. Highly recommended!
i am related to them. i love having this last name,it unique. there, i mean our food is like no other its the best . if i could i would eat at sal and judys every day. i dont know why people wont go there. even some people dont like that place.
My favorite restaurant of all time, and I've been to many. It's always a treat to go here. Just make sure you make reservations at least a week ahead of time for weekends, otherwise you're not likely to get in. They have the best crabmeat au gratin anywhere. The Trout Nicholas, which is not on the menu and must be asked for, is also outstanding.
The food was very, very good but very, very heavy on the butter. The service was outstanding, probably the best I've had in years. The crab claw appetizer was delicious (with lots of butter). My portion of fish was too large to finish although some meals had more appropriate sizes. Sal stopped by to check on the meal and was very nice and approachable.
This has to be one of the worst restaurants we have ever eaten in. Our waiter was arrogant and rude. The food was drenched in either oil or butter so much that you couldn't taste the fish. It truly made us sick. New Orleans restaurants have it all over this one!
I have been eating at Sal and Judy's since 1982. The crabclaws are out of this world and the lasagna is the best I have ever eaten. Many restuarants have tried to imitate Sal's crabclaws but have never been able to duplicate. I have never had anything on the menu that I didn't like. I have recommended Sal and Judy's to many and they are now loyal customers. If you haven't gone to Sal and Judy's you haven't tasted the best!!
