Emeril's Delmonico, New Orleans

Excellent food, service is great, good atmosphere. Money well spent.

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary this weekend. It was our first time and after reading some mixed reviews we were not sure what to expect. Our waiter was great, very patient and knowledgeable about the menu items. I had three appetizers instead of an entree. I ordered the crab cake, the crispy pork cheek, and the gnocci that was on special that evening. The crab cake and pork cheek were spectacular, the gnocci had grape tomatoes and eggplant and it was ok I just don't care for cooked tomatoes so I picked them off. My husband had the redfish and substituted the green beans for potatoes, his fish was perfectly cooked, he just didn't care for the pepper sauce (he's picky). For dessert I had the lemon cheesecake bites and my husband had the cinammon beignets. The lemon cheesecake bites were ah-mazing!! The beignets were good also. The perfect ending to a great meal with wonderful service.

Wow,this place is great! The staff from the valet,hostess to the waiters are very attentive!!Our son works in the kitchen,so we went there for our anniversary..we truely enjoyed the food and the staf and the atmosphere!!!The piano guy was awesome!! It is a little pricey,but the experience is well worth it!

Ohhhh Emeril! So disappointed! My friend and I were so excited to finally try an Emerils restaurant on our first trip to NO. We literally both had 4 bites of lobster, 2 quarter size slices of potato and a teaspoon of pea smush - for an outrageous price. We actually left hungry. I much preferred the less nose-in-air atmosphere, genuine new orleans people of Acme Oyster House or even the higher class john besh restaurant at Harrahs was FABULOUS! The prime rib was melt in your mouth and covered the platter. I looked at the other emerils restaurants on line and saw much the same as Delmonico's and decided not to bother on our next trip.

Great steaks and sides. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Will return.

You get what you pay for and more. Delmonico's is the ultimate over all experience to be had in New Orleans. The service is first class all the way. The atmosphere is beautiful and romantic. The food is surreal. This is an event, not a meal. If you want to feel a part of old New Orleans a night here can't be missed.

emeril's delmonico is in my opinion one of the best restaurants in the area, i have been to new orleans 30+ times and have eaten at a lot of the areas fine dining establishments, this one seems to call out to me when i visit there. the food and the service has always been extra helpful and courtious, definately worth a try when visiting new orleans...

The food and waitstaff were mediocre at best. Complete tourist trap, there are much better steak houses and restaurants throughout the city.
