This is one of the few restaraunts on Grande Isle that are worth even trying. First time husband and I visited it was great, more food than 2 people could have ate on one seafood platter. Second time around had pathetic platters and a house full of off shore boatmen that were rude, cursing and loud while children and families were in the restaraunt. They were treated better than everyday customers instead of told to act right or leave. Was very disappointed second time around! Should have went to the bar it was probably less profane!
We ate here last night. Good service and my wife had an excellent dinner with shrimp and pasta. I had a good cup (large cup) of gumbo and the soft shelled crab dinner. I ve never had soft shelled crab, so I wanted to try it. It wasn t too my liking, but that reflects on me and not the restaurant.
While it wouldn t be a great place in New Orleans, one has to remember where they are and the lack of choices and the average clientele. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Grand Isle.
