Come to Cafe Maspero, to taste the best in seafood. The oysters and shrimps are to die for. Prepared with the freshest ingredients and finest spices, the meal here is sumptuous and delicious. The waiting staff, is polite and will guide you through the extensive menu. A favorite eatery with the locals and tourists alike, it is usually crowded, but the amazing food is worth the wait. The Muffalettas by far tops the menu list. A must visit for all seafood lovers.
This was a horrible experience. Being from Louisiana and knowing what Louisiana food should taste like..I was totally disappointed. The Red Beans did not have any flavor and tasted like they came straight out of a can. The jambalaya was runny. My daughter had the shrimp and even the shrimp did not have flavor. We were all literally sick after eating there. Digusting. Go some place else.
The is the WORST place in the French Quarter. BE ADVISED they DON'T take credit cards. They tell you to use an on-premise ATM that I'm sure they get a cut of. Food was extremely average (which is below average for the French Quarter) and over-priced while the service was very slow (even though they weren't at all busy) and rude when they did show up.
