I have been to Port of Call 4 times and the burgers are good but not good enough to wait three hours. IF you want a great burger for less and better in my opinion. go to Yo mama's. Very good!!!

IF I WANTED DIARRHEA FROM A BURGER, I'D GO TO MC DONALDS AND PAY A THIRD OF THE PRICE!!! I've come to expect roaches in New Orleans, but really? To top it all off. the bartender was a total waste of oxygen. It's safe to say I'll never be back.

Fun atmosphere, juke box, simple menu, generous beverages. Best part was the access to good food late at night. Really good burgers, though not New Orleans' most luxurious.

All I can say is wow my husband spotted this on a food network show we were watching in prep for our trip this summer and it wasnt even a feature resturant just a little blurb at the end of the show but this one of the best meals we ate while in New Orleans. Great little local place with attitude and the best burgers I have ever eaten. We had to take a looongg walk to walk off that dinner but totally worth it. And you wont even miss french fries : )

I love port of call. It is a one of a kind, hole in the wall, good food, good service kind of place. Go on weekdays at off hours to avoid the lines. Don't let its appearance fool you, it may look like a dingy bar but its a clean place with a good simple menu. If you are in New Orleans and want a great burger go to Port of Call.
