Description

In 1970, the Brennan family, famous for its redefinition of Creole cuisine, opened another of its great bistros here. Mr. B's Bistro is trendy with an upscale, casual style. Live piano music is provided for your listening pleasure whether you are having lunch, brunch or dinner. The fare generally focuses on classic regional Creole with an emphasis on seafood entrees. Enjoy the Panko Crusted Jumbo Shrimp and the excellent Gumbo Ya Ya, or wait for dinner and experience such taste bud temptations as the French Filet Mignon.

Service attentive without being intrusive. Soup of the day was Mushroom with goat cheese. The flavors married beautifully. Dredged the bottom of the bowl with French bread. Rack of Lamb possibly the best I've ever had. Was presented with baby green beans on a bed of creamed cubed and fried potatoes. Attention to every detail--included bringing a hot cup and saucer to serve the coffee in!

Part of the Brennan family of restaurant's, Mr. B's is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere and service are great! Be sure and try the Gumbo Ya Ya or their signature BBQ Shrimp. Be sure and use a bib. You'll need it! Have em bring you a bowl of grits to go with your shrimp for good measure. Mr. B's is always a safe bet for great food in heart of the French Quarter!

Mr. B's is an oldy but goody. It never disappoints and still has the most devine BBQ shrimp to ever grace this earth. The food is amazing but not too pricey and the staff is helpful, friendly, and layed back. Makes for a great night out.

Mr B's Bistro is my favorite place in New Orleans for Sunday Jazz Brunch. I absolutely love the fried oysters with hollandaise sauce and I get them every time. The grillades and grits are also outstanding, and better than anywhere else I've had them.
