This place, open in the same location since 1972, is simple, small, and cozy (only 12 tables). It has a very typical Mexican restaurant decor and is neat and clean. The staff are very friendly. I ordered from the lunch menu- beef taco, cheese enchilada, and beans with melted cheddar cheese. The appetizer chips came with salsa and bean dip. The waitress also brought me a little plate of rice to sample, when I asked for some. There was no charge for this. All of the food was very good and hot. Plus, they didn t skimp on portions. For about $6.25 for the lunch special, one can t go wrong here. I noticed there was lots of neighborhood business. It s worth checking out, for sure. RJT
