Best seafood place in the state, never left unhappy, always great! Smitty's Sucks!

Parking was easy. Waited about 10 minutes. Service was quick for drinks and orders. The crab cakes with roumalade was absolutely delish. I ordered the fried shrimp with mashed potatoes with gravy and baked mac/cheese. I loved how the gravy was homemade with beef bits in it. My friend had blackened catfish and I did a taste test-nice and light. My friend also had the crawfish and corn chowder and totally loved it. All this for 36 bucks so prices on everything was great. Great experience and definitely will be back.

Kenner Seafood is an excellent and traditional seafood market/seafood restaurant found on the outskirts of Kenner. It is a no frills restaurant that is perfect for bringing family to visit. They have a terrific fry that isn't too heavily salted, which makes it perfect for people who often avoid fried foods due to saltiness. The oysters on the half shell are always fresh and delicious, and the servers treat you like family. They also have a very tasty grilled/blackened menu. I recently had the half grilled shrimp, half blacked catfish dinner plate, and it was delicious. The options for sides are all homemade and tasty, and the prices cannot be beaten. A must visit if you are looking for a traditional New Orleans seafood experience!

dined there last Wednesday 2-24-10 food was delicious..oysters a little on the small side but very good, salty...raw.. crawfish nice and large..seasoned well..had seafoor gumbo that was prepared perfectly

Boiled shrimp is served hot not cold like at most other restaurants. You will be taking home a doggie bag or you can share one plate.

The best boiled crawfish I have ever eaten at a restaurant, always hot and spiced perfectly. I have never had a bad meal here. The fried shrimp, eggplant, onion rings, and okra are always the best!!! I love this place!

I have purchased boiled crawfish many times from Kenner Seafood and I have never been disappointed. This was my first time I purchased what I thought was 100lbs of live crawfish for Good Friday from Kenner Seafood. We boil every year and purchase the same amount per person. This year we had 6 people that didn't get to eat and several people who only ate like 2 lbs. 16.5lbs were dead(they did replace them with live ones)..Since Good Friday, I have talked to several people that have said they have also been shorted crawfish by Kenner Seafood. I will never purchase anything from them again and I will weigh my sacks of crawfish next time.

They have this place nicely decorated- it's a stereotypical, casual Louisiana seafood restaurant. I had the seafood platter with a large Coca-Cola. The platter had lots of tasty (and not greasy) shrimp, catfish, and fairly large oysters, plus a pretty good stuffed crab. The fries were good. I did not like the coleslaw, however. Also, I was disappointed that the platter came with NO hushpuppies. Overall, however, it's good, and I think it's worth a try.

This place is excellent. The lunch specials are only $5.50. The food is delicious. I love the fried pickles.
