Casa Tequila is a simple, yet, nicely decorated restaurant. The El General dinner I ordered ($10.95) had a chicken enchilada, a beef enchilada, a chicken taco, a beef chili relleno, beans, and Spanish rice. All of these items were outstanding and better than what one typically finds at ordinary Mexican restaurants. The chips & salsa/bean dip appetizer was only fair, though. This place is a must for New Orleans Mexican food fans.
Went here for the first time yesterday and the service and food was amazing. Finally a place that had the most REAL Mexican food I have tasted since moving here. Prices were decent, portion sizes were perfect, and they provide free chips/salsa/bean dip. Will definitely be back.
