Wonderful find from last years Thanksgiving trip to NOLA...had grabbed a cab and asked to be taken to another eatery and he said....I can but if you don't mind....I would like to take your to Two Sisters...if you don't lke it...I will be bac in an hour and you don't owe me a cab ride back to the hotel Needless to say...we paid for our cabride back into town...Made a point to return last week with our friends..I tell everyone about it....understand they have a 2nd location but we went to the one on Dirbigny

I will tell anyone who will listen about this place!!!! I am from Washington, DC and am here for a conference. I heard about this place from a couple of people so we tried it for lunch. They close EARLY so don't think you're going to go for dinner. It is the BEST Southern meal you will ever get! The food is awesome and the portions are huge. The staff are so friendly and gives the real down in the country feel. My cousin and I got the fried chicken and my sister got the Neckbones, they come with rice, greens or black eyed peas ( which I was told were the best they've ever had) and potato salad. Everything was tasty! There is also someone who walks around with homemade baked goods. This is definitely one of New Orleans best kept secrets if you don't talk to the right people to let you know about it. they only take cash so make sure you have some, but you won't need a lot because their prices are very reasonable.

This place is incredible! If you're looking for a real, quailty, down-home meal, this is the place, fitting too, cause when you first pull up to the place it looks like someones house, and they cook like Mamma did. I had stewed hen with collards and bread pudding for dessert. Thinking about driving there from orlando, just to eat there again!

This restaurant is great! They give you a plate FULL of food for an inexpensive price. The staff is friendly and the food tastes great. The soul food tastes like a home cooked meal from your Big Mama's house!

Just Ok

I'm not a fan of steam table food, so this one missed the mark for me. We were also disappointed that the veggie dishes were pretty non-existent b/c EVERYTHING had some kind of meat bits or broth in it.

YUMMY

While in New Orleans, I was taken off the beaten (tourist) path by some locals and this was one of my favorites. Ask the women here what they recommend and you wont be sorry. I had the Cornish game hen and some (yummy) dirty rice. They also bought out some corn bread like no other corn bread I have ever had in life... it was soooo good!

I love this place. I was on business in Ms from (but flew into N.O.) from Los Angeles. I asked a few people the best place to eat and they all told me the samething(two sisters on Derbigny). So I went there. Oh My GOD!!! This place is awesome! They give you somuch food and it is GOOD! I actually been to N.O a few times since. If you're in town you must go!

One of the gentlemen at the hotel told us about this place and it was WONDERFUL. The food was great, the service was great and if the lady with the basket of sweets is there, BUY THE BROWNIE. Awesome food for almost nothing! I could have easily made at least two meals had I been able to store it (no refrig in hotel). Go there, you'll be happy that you did! Proabably best *not* to walk from the quarter tho'....lots of homeless at the bridge right now.
