I don't always leave terrible reviews... but when I do, they're well deserved.
The food was greatly overpriced for what it was and they were out of most of everything we ordered, but that wasn't my biggest complaint.
The service was horrifying and I dare say, dangerously inept. We were there for over 2 hours... with two small kids. The place was far from busy; unless you count the waitresses who were busy socializing.
Once we had finally placed our order, the waitress returned to our table four times, at 15 min. intervals, to tell us that they had run out of something that we had ordered. Four different times!
On her last visit back... they ran out of something that we were going to feed my infant, who was ravenous by this point. I asked if the green bean side had butter on it. I explained to her that my baby loves green beans, but can't have dairy due to an allergy. The waitress did not hesitate to tell me that there was no butter on the dish. She didn't think it was worthwhile to confirm her answer with the cooks; she just guessed that they were butter-free. She was wrong. I tasted them and they were covered in butter. So, now my infant is screaming because he wants to eat, but can't because the waitress didn't want to walk 15 feet back to the kitchen to ask someone. Sheer negligence.
Lastly, the waitress brings the check and it's full price. After running out of 4 items that we ordered, keeping us waiting for 2 hours, and after nearly causing us to feed butter to our baby with a dairy allergy because she's too lazy to check.... She charges us full price. After dropping off the check, she hid from us. I have a feeling she knew that she could've been in trouble. I hope she reads this.
Long story short: Overpriced food, dangerously negligent staff.
Food was ok but still no topping toppings for the meat and bread they call a classic burger.
Staff was friendly but service extremely slow. Almost an hour wait for an order of grilled chicken and a burger patty with a bun.
Would not go again.
Atmosphere good , service from order taken to meal delivery 30 minutes , food good - very good , portions very good . DISLIKED being told what to tip waitress ( put on ticket ) was not optional meal prices are about two times what we pay for same meal elsewhwere . Between these last two items and being told they would not accept our check from Julesburg , Colorado (20 miles west of Ogallala - WE WILL NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE AGAIN ALL SEVEN PEOPLE IN OUR GROUP AGREES also they give no senior discount ( we age from 65-91 years old )
Near the interstate and major hotels this was the most convenient stop. Atomosphere and service were warm and friendly. Homemade croutons on the salad were fantastic. Good steaks, good portions, fair prices...I would return. They also had a full service bar if you were made to wait.
I was just passing through and had a burger.
$7.00 for a dry bun and a piece of meat with no toppings?
What is this. topping dont grow in ng ? Get real
If they can't do a burger right than I won't trust them with a fine steak for $20 plus
