Hunan Chinese Restaurant, Kearney

default: First I did not get what I ordered. Then the plate was dirty and I had to get a clean one off the buffet. Next I found a glob of jelly like...something....in my food. The man taking my check argued with me and said it was cornstarch and they cook with it all the time. I said it was still gross and he continued arguing with me saying its not gross. Because I had my 8 year old with me he only got a dirty look and we walked out. And now I m leaving this review in as many places as I can.

I have been to many Chinese restaurants in large cities and this rates as well as any of these highly regarded establishments. I have never heard or seen mice? Every thing is well done and very flavorful. I don't understand these other reviewers but perhaps they are competition as they are so critical? Egg rolls are best to be found, soups are flavored just right and all main dishes. Best buffet i have ever encountered and by the number of diners you can tell they execute all of this well.

I love this restaurant, my family and I have gone here for years and it's still an amazing treat. I'm shocked to see any negative reviews at all. The service, and food you get here is the best. It's very clean and I seriously doubt the validity of any of the reviews with the mention of rodents. If you love good chinese food this is the place to be, it isn't the cheapest but it is well worth it!

Kearney is on the prairie, even most homes have mice problems. Despite this fact, I was appalled when I saw other people complained of seeing mice. I am a regular at Hunans and I have never once seen a mouse or any cleanliness red-flag while dining there. They always have a great lunch buffet, friendly staff and the best Hot & Sour soup I've ever had in my life!

Hands downs the worst chinese food I have ever eaten. I took the leftovers home to my dogs and they would not even eat it. Terrible, watered down and tasteless. Im sorry if I am critical because I have eaten so much great chinese food on the west coast, but people anywhere need to get what they came for. Just not the case at Hunan 11th st kearney, ne. Just terrible. The food was many days old when ordering off of the menu. Just so sad when its this bad. Someone at this establishment has to know that this is not quality but they dont care. Just disgusting. Steer clear dont even breath the exhaust of this place you might get sick as well. fuqhunans. Disgusting.

Great Food if you can get over rodents running wild while you are eating. Got up and left before finishing. mice are not good for business. Don't expect to ever go back

The best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. The service, the food, the ambiance, all top notch. Compare the price of a full meal at any other restaurant in town, and here, and Hunan's is much more cost effective. The food is even better outside of buffet hours.

I will 2nd that it's the best Chinese food in Kearney! Not the cheapest Chinese food restaurant in town, but it is well worth the spend. They have a great lunch buffet so you can try it all!
