India Garden

Took My Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law to the India Garden and they loved it. Reminded them of when they spent 10 years in India and was exactly like the meals they had when they were there. The wife remembers some of the different specialties the India Garden serves, but not all as she was young at the time she spent in India. I enjoy the spicy specialties the India Garden provides and she & I will be coming back more often.

I lived in this town for more than 10-15 years. I love Indian food and I regularly try out several Indian restaurants in town. India Garden sure is a great place to taste Indian food. Their food tastes delicious and consistently provide great quality and tasty Indian food in town. Their weekend buffet covers North and South Indian food. I love their Saag Paneer, Chicken Makhani and Goat Curry. My wife likes vegetarian food and we are pleased to find some good vegetarian choices. Their service was friendly. I won't hesitate to recommend this restaurant..

This is one place I would recommend avoiding strictly if you are looking for a fresh, healthy food and atleast average customer service. I have heard from somany other folks going to other restaurants about worst customer service here but experienced it for self also. Especially for buffets, for sure the food is re-used and not fresh and you can affect your health for sure. Customer Service of horrible. The old owners were very good but new owner is so rash that we asked him about a fresh bread in buffet and he told us to keep our expectations low for a buffet. Forget the reasoning, his talking was so unprofessional I have ever heard. Same for all the waiters, they dont even greet you with a smile whereas if you go to Jaipur or India Oven, owners make you feel like home and their food is cooked fresh. I guess the only reason why most of folks and Indians go to this restaurant is because no other Indian restaurant in Omaha offers an elaborate Indian food buffet. High time somebody like Taj or Jaipur should start a decent buffet and this restaurant should be closed or owners be changed. Only if you are desperate to eat all varieties of Indian food in $ 10 and dont care about service or hygiene since you are really short of having that kind of option available in Omaha then only you would go to this restaurant.

The service was absolutely horrible. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated, the waiter was disoriented and did not understand English that well. Had to leave and go to IHOP to eat.

My experience was OK at INDIAN garden, I like the service and Special Chicken Biryani is Great, every one should taste it. I visit this place nothing less then 2 times a week, I rate this as Omaha's best INDIAN restaurant.
