Very cute restaurant and definitely not busy on a Tuesday night at 545pm. Waiter excellent.!! Delicious soft puffed taco w blackened chicken and cup of tortilla soup. No one likes to pay for Chips and salsa. Especially when there is nothing special about the chips. I wish managers of restaurants would realize that salty chips= more alcoholic drinks which is where the $$ is. If management disagrees... Raise your margaritas.50 or beers and give the free chips. The first thing people say about your restaurant is you have to pay for chips. I would rather b known for the great food and service. One hardly ever hears a complaint about the cost of a beer or margarita.
Excellent food, good service and great margaritas.
I have been going to Trini's for years and I always recommended it to others. My favorites on the menu are the fish tacos and chicken portabello mushroom enchiladas...and of course....the margaritas! Looking forward to the next visit.
This is my husband and I's favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area, and so far our favorite restaurant in Omaha. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the Old Market, we did not even know this place existed until we went exploring one evening and ended up eating there. The food is awesome, the staff is nice, and the drinks are quite strong. :) The only bummer is that you have to pay for the chips and salsa, whereas many Mexican food joints give you these for free. However, for the value of the rest of the menu, paying for this appetizer is totally worth it.
looks like it would cost more than it actually does, more than reasonable prices for great food, warm lighting, small but does not allow you to feel cramped, great food for a low budget date or meeting with a friend, menu satisfies any palet, casual and comfortable
While the ambiance is very nice the service is usually slow due to heavy traffic and if you go during the peak meal hours expect a long wait or to be turned down for service. (this has happened twice to my wife and I) The food I would rate as above average and the value somewhat less.
I am REALLY picky about my food. This place floored me with how quick, curtious, and professional-yet fun-the staff was. This food is awesome! I got the empinada. Portions are good, and the drinks are good to. The prices are LOW! I wonder why I haven't heard more about it?
