Farm House Cafe & Bakery, Omaha

It wasn t that the service was poor, it was. Also not just that the corn had been charred by a dried out steam table. BUT never order their Fried Chicken in the evening especially a weekend or Friday. We did and discovered that nothing is actually fixed for you. Potatoes were dried out and cool in the center from the steam table. The chicken was really dried out and mushy on the outside from sitting for probably hours. Not nearly as good as it used to be.

If its busy expect to wait some,otherwise I thought the food was good , service friendly. I admit I didn't like the food in the past,but I tend to give businesses a few tries, and the farm house food has gotten better, or maybe I'm just picky,being in the foodserve area....I can say its worth going down there. There is no such thing as a perfect business,but they try hard to please.

I love, love, loveeeee, their Wedding cake! Their Wedding cake is a must have and I bet you won't find one like it anywhere else..... believe me when I say it's simply the best!

Today The Farmhouse has hit an all time low in my book. After we waited for half an hour to be seated, our waiter was in a big hurry and ignored us while taking orders and seating other people. When our drinks arrived, mine had ice in it, which I asked to have without. Our meal was then delivered and we asked for ketchup and the drink without ice. The waiter was gone for 15 or 20 minutes. When we finally managed to flag him down, the food was cold and uncooked. I doubt I'll return to The Farmhouse. I'll give them a half star for today.

It was a family of 5 and the table that the not so friendly hostess wanted to seat us at was a little cramped. We let her know that this wouldn't work for us so in keeping with her bad attititude she snatched the menus off the table a slammed a couple of tables together and threw our menus down and said "There you go" and walked off. At this point no one wanted to stay but we did inform the manager of what just happened and in a very non caring tone said he would take care of it. Yeh right!! After talking to friends and coworkers about our experience it sounds like they to experienced some of the same treatment. We will continue to share our experience with others!

My husband and I love Farmhouse Cafe! Their breakfast food is to die for and we have had great service from the wait staff. My only complaint is a particular waitress is INCREDIBLY loud when she laughs-to the point she scares children when she laughs... seriously this woman needs a muzzel

Warning! I bought a peach pie on Saturday for Mother's Day but to my complete horror when I served it there were mold spots about the size of a dime in 2 or 3 spots on the pie. To add insult to injury the manager only offered a weak apology and to exchange the pie. I've heard generally good things about them but I won't be returning.
