Wheatfields Catering Company

Description

This European-style cafe in One Pacific Place is well known for its crepes, omelettes, casseroles and decadent desserts. The lunch and dinner menus are very similar; however, the dinner menu also offers pastas and steaks. Try one of the sumptuous cheese, meat or dessert fondues or a crisp Salad 103. Be sure to save room for dessert. With more than 50 to choose from, you may need to save room for several. The Alpine Torte Cake, a mix of chocolates and cream, is fantastic.

My mother and I had a late lunch there recently. We both had a soup/sandwich special. Wow, big cup of delicious soup and both their chicken salad and deviled egg salad sandwiches were very yummy. Huge portions for the price and quality. Our server was also excellent. Would definitely eat there again.

Since there is no Old Market address location to post reviews, I'll post it here. The Weatfields at the Old Market location is not worth going there, you go in and the employees are standing ariund talking to each other as if it were an office party. We were looking around and when we decided on something, there was no one to take care of us.Once we were ready at the register, the two people were talking to each other, until they realized we were standing there looking at them, why so many people standing around, just talking at least they should be taking care of people,no thank you,I won't be going back.

The perfect place for sitting outside on a Sunday morning...sunshine and music. You have not had a belgian waffle until you try their Creme Brule Begian waffle with almond slivers baked right in. The black raspberry pancakes were excellent as well (the menu says there is a story behind those, but Ron Popp was not there to tell us what it was.) We only had 27 hours in Omaha on this trip, and Wheatfield's was perfect for our one meal out.

"Total disaster"
By ,
I have tried this place over a half dozen times for breakfast, once for lunc and once for dinner.I will never go back, fish dinner was expensive and the fish was over cooked the veg. were soggy and the lower third of the roll was totally fish water soaked. The lunch experience was as bad the chicken was under cooked which I did'nt know you could do untill now.i'am not a pickkey eater so I never mentioned all the breakfast that I had at least 6 different times not once was any of the toast served was warm enough to melt the butter, cold butter on toast sucks. But this morrnings expereience was it the Kielbasa sausage was cold no heat at all. It took the server, lacey 10 mins. to return to the table after I asked another server to get her, she took the sausage away to be heated, but after 15 min's she came by to tell me it would only be a few more min's.But once again she was wrong 10 min's later when she was walking by I just ask her for the bill, which took another ten min's.So I it took me over 55 min's to eat great hash browns an half a slice of cold toast with one bite of cold sausage, and it only cost me $16.67 and no I didn't tip her.But look at the bright side I won't be back and I have had worst experience at I-hop, but I haven't been back there in two years.

I absolutely love this place - espeically for brunch on the weekends when I am in town. Huge servings of just about anything you could think of plus 10 more dishes you didn't think about. I have never seen such a selection...it is almost overwhelming. I love brunch here but I also have stopped by for dessert and coffee at night and I almost always leave with something from their fresh bakery. I highly recommend Wheatfields...just wish they had one in Texas!

My review is for a not too good experience today at your restaurant...We have been there many times and always enjoyed it but today was a bad experience with people from out of town that we raved about your service and food. Who ever it was that came over and apologized and tryed to make it alright for us it was good, but the service and experience was not... I will come back but what a dissapointment...Thank you. Ice Tea Saga Continues
By ,
My husband and I ate breakfast at the restaurant in Pacific Place several years ago and have not returned since. PROBLEM: Only served flavored ice tea and wouldn't give me hot tea and a glass of ice so that I could have unflavored tea. Did not return, food was very good though. Living in Papillion and the new store having opened, we have been there twice. Last night, requesting plain tea again the server informed me that it would be 60 cents more. Once again irratating me that plain tea would cost more. Our meal was delicious. The only other issue you may want to address is the crowded seating. Felt like we were sitting with the table next to us. Need to take the tables for 2 out of the middle.
