i ditched my car for bangkok cuisine
truly, it was july 5, 2001, the timing slipped 350 miles away, and i hitched a ride to get pad thai! they've become good friends (as good people do), and J pretty-much takes over when we arrive. the only authentic oriental cuisine in town, as far as i know; and their new help is fresh from the monastery- talk about roots. everything is prepared fresh-to-order, so be patient... it's well worth it. or, call ahead, they'll set your place before you arrive! just find the saffron painted door next to the fat guy's greasery...
