Grandmother's Restaurant and Lounge
This is almost like eating at Grandma's house. The decor is clean and casual with low lighting and plenty of booths. Menu favorites include soups, salads, sandwiches and meatier options, like chicken and steak. The onion rings and Margaritas are especially tasty. Sunday Brunch is a must. You will enjoy a buffet-style meal offering made-to-order omelets, egg dishes, pancakes and more. An additional Grandmother's is located at 8989 West Dodge Road (+1 402 391 8889).
I can only give a very negitive review for the food and one of the managers. It use to be a great place to go but then........they have been going down hill in a very competitive atmosphere and it is too bad. I think some of the authors that wrote really positive reviews are easliy satisfied or don't have a life.
As a server that works downstairs in the lounge area. I love to eat at Grandmothers when I get a chance. The baked potatoe soup is to die for in my book. I moved up here from St. Louis area about a year ago and I have to say that there is not a restaurant in St. Louis that can top Grandmothers.
My husband and I go on Friday nights, the food is great as always but we are getting tired of the Kareoke. Its the same people that sing, also they sing the same songs every Friday. It is getting old. We also smoke which they have right outside lounge doors a place to smoke with a couple of benches, but we are not allowed to take our drinks outside, also its not as busy as it used to be. but over all we will still go there. there bar is wonderful and we have had great service everytime we go!
What happened to to the fun Grandmother's??? We have been going for years and have spend New Year's Eve at Grandmothers in many past years and recently things have gone way down hill. We were so disappointed we were home by 10:00. Bring back the Kareoke unlimited DJ Howe and the people may come back.
I'm from Omaha, and grew up eating at Grandmothers. But I have since moved away and I always enjoy coming home. Because it means a stop at Grandmothers. I love the Baked Potatoe Soup, it's always a must.
We were just in Omaha two weekends ago and my husband and I stopped in. He'd never been and we both had a wonderful meal.
If you are not in a hurry do not stop at Grandmother's house!!!!

This was the worst experience of my life. I felt rush, no one listen, and the managers and servers are very misleading. I was told that it will take at 5-10 minutes to seat. I asked did they have a party table so that the other family can eat with us since they had been waiting. When we walked in the restaurant ther was 5 open two-topped tables. We were asked to place our orders right away and I had to ask if it was ok to review the menu first since I have never been there. Service there was 5 stars for rudness and openly with the rudness. They do not even care when they mistreat people.
first visit is the last visit.

Grandmothers is one of my favorite restaurants. I absolutely love their potato soup. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is pleasant where the diners enjoy a sense of privacy with their meal. What can I say, I love Grandmothers Restaurant and Lounge in Omaha.
