This was perhaps the worst meal I have had in my life. The most depressing part was the fact the soda was the best tasting thing that me and my fiance had for lunch. The salsa tastes like watery marinara with onion chunks. The enchilada sauce tastes like it has an unholy ammount of cumin in it. Dirty tables, menus, walls, floors, pretty much every surface. I had a gordita wich tasted like it was cooked in dirty fry oil or a dirty flat top. Would never return again even especially when a bill for two people to vomit was 30$

Time warp of a dining establishment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/06
We went today to La Hacienda for a new lunch experience. We entered into a dimly lit, large dining room. The menus had food spots allover them. I can't describe how I felt but the decor alone was a huge turnoff. My lunch companion and I decided that we would stay even though it looked nasty. It was just weird, like this massive restaurant with numerous dining rooms that were partially visible.Kind of creepy. You never know sometimes the dives turn out to have good food. This lunch however proved to be unappetizing.I had a cheese enchilada and my boyfriend had a taco plate with beef that looked red. All around the people seemed pleasent that were working. The service wasn't great but the cleanliness factor was much more my main concern.I really wish we had a better experience but we will probably never return to the Hacienda.

Being from Tucson, Arizona.....
By MDJ, 2/25/06
Let's just say it is very difficult to find good Mexican food in Omaha, NE. You wouldn't expect that a place next to a strip club would be so great but the food was comparable to what we get back home in Tucson. The decor leaves something to be desired but they make up for it in excellent management and service. The food was quite filling, hot, and quick. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a taste of true traditional Mexican food. It just goes to show that there are some gems to be found in Omaha. Has both a family type atmosphere and a the booths are big enough where a couple won't be bothered by others for a nice romantic lunch or dinner. Give it a try.

Good Food +Good Ambiance + Great prices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/05
Me and my husband went there for dinner with couple of friends. Just wanted to try new mexican place. What we were not expecting were people so nice. Guy working there did a great job in preparing all different kind of dishes that we gave them (and considering most of us were vegetarian, we had 'no this' and 'no that' specifics)..he remembered everything and did exactly what we said. Prices were great . we had couple of coupons and they accepted that gladly too( even without coupons , prices are really good) I would recommend them if you want good food and good price

MMMMMM.....

They have vegetarian options which I loved, and the apple chimichangas are delicious!!! I would recommend this place to anyone with a flair for quality mexican cuisine. The ambience is of a small, family-owned business. The prices are decent and the drinks are affordable.
