Amazing!!! One of the best steaks I ve ever had. Juicy, tender, full of flavor, it practically melts in your mouth. Very friends and attentive staff. Will definitely stop in the next time I pass through Dodge.
Best steaks in Dodge City, We ve eaten there quite a few times and never had bad food or service. Mike the owner is hands on all the time, and walks around and talks to the guests, he is not above cleaning a table or seating guests either. Very nice and friendly place to eat. No recommendations as everything we ve eaten there is delicious
Good Atmosphere. Steak's were good but nothing to rave about. The side dishes are canned and you get better salads at a fast food restaurant. Price is average. Would try some place else next time I pass through Dodge City.
Casaey's Cowtown is not your usual chain restaurant. Owned and operated by a local, Mike Casey. This has a country style theme with great steaks from the local vendors. Food is just outstanding and the service is good.
Some people would consider this restaurant plain and ordinary. However, a steak cannot be considered a steak when it is covered with sauces, dressings, or marinades. When done so, it becomes something else. This place however cooks their steaks straight on the grill, no frills, no fuss. You can taste the juicyness of the beef, and nothing else. Not for city slickers....
The Pour House located on the back of the restaurant is a nice little watering hole to visit. Good drinks, nice ambiance. Kind of reminds you fo a cave when you walk in, the walls look like huge rocks. It is nice to slip into a little booth and enjoy and after diner drink.
Don't let the prices on the menu scare you, but they really aren't that bad either. We ordered: Small ribeye, Large Ribeye, Steak (sirloin) and Shrimp. The ribeyes were $15 and $18 respectively. The steak and shrimp was only $14. The steaks were fantastic. When they say large ribeye, they mean huge. I ended up bringing half of it and my baked potato home (ok, back to our hotel that luckily had a fridge and microwave.) We ordered an appetizer of Stuffed Olives, and a couple of bloody marys. Although the appetizer was good, it isn't something I would order a second time. The bloody marys were great.
Every meal comes with a dinner salad, choice of potato, a vegetable and fresh baked rolls. Add to that the oversized steak portions and there is no possible way you can walk away hungry.
Casey's Cowtown serves fresh Dodge City raised beef. It was the best we have had out in a long time. Well worth stopping on a Dodge City vacation.
Our only disappointment was in our waitress. She took too long to get to us and take our order. She didn't seem knowledgable about some of the menu items we were asking about. She also didn't seem to want to take the time to answer our questions. She was rushed and tried to rush us as well, but when we were ready to leave, it took forever for her to get us our check. Despite her service, we still strongly recommend it and would go back if ever in the area again.
