VERY disappointing. Chicken fried steak burned. My husband's rib eye was cold and totally raw in the middle. Onion rings were inedible. When we complained they only took $4 off of our $35 lunch bill. We will never eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
1st of all, food was good & exactly as we ordered, so my comments are all related to the level of service we were provided. Our server was nice, but completely ill prepared to handle tables alone. He spilled drinks all over the table & on me without considering that he needed to clean up the mess. He didn't bring enough plates for our appetizers, so group was eating food off of their napkins. We waited 15min before getting our drink order in, then waiting another 15min before he came by to take our food order. We received our salads 15min later & entrees before we were halfway done with our salads. Other servers had to help us with refills, etc. I pulled the mgr aside to give feedback that the waiter, although nice, needed some dedicated training & attention. The other tables in our section were experiencing the same level of service. I was disappointed that the mgr never came to our table to apologize to the group or even take responsibility. I was not looking for a discount, but rather ownership that the service was so poor & an apology. I would not recommend this restaurant & have no plans to go back. I would hope that the management get some training on customer service too.
Montana Mike's, formerly a Sirloin Stockade probably provides the best steak in town. Usually crowded though, being an easy off and on from the interstate. The hamburgers are also top notch, if you can't afford a steak. Recommended
