I fail to see what the big deal was. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up around there, but their food was average at best. In fact, I've only had one Bierock that I've liked less and that was at Dillon's bakery. If I wanted under seasoned beef thrown into a food processor with cabbage and onion then baked in a bun, I'd just make it at home. :-/ But to each their own. Like it not, if you go you can at least say you tried it!
If you love bierocks but don't like the hassle of making them from scratch(anyone who has done this knows what I am talking about) then this is the place to go to get them. They are the best bierocks you can find that are not homemade. Every time I go to Hays, my wonderful mother has a supply for me to take to my home in Hoyt. They are a taste of home and bring back wonderful memories of my childhood. Oh, the magic of comfort food!
