I stop a Burger King in Great Bend about once a week, but why I don't know. Mainly because it's on my way to work. However, half the time when you enter the drive thru the audio is totally out and this has happened very frequently over the last few months. The outside of the driveup window normally has food or gross other effects on the stainless steel, the drive thru area itself is filthy with papers, cups, etc. The food is never hot. If you order a cheesy bacon wrapper the tortilla is so cold the cheese won't even melt and 8 out of 10 times if it's past 10 AM, there are three or four employees sitting out back of the building smoking or coming out of the supply shed. HMMMM, what can three or four employees be doing in there? Someone needs to pay more attention to the cleanliness of this fast food restaurant, at least on the perimeter. The outside is dirty enough, I'd hate to walk inside the doors. I hope someone will pay attention to these comments. There are a couple of young ladies and one young gentlmen who are normally friendly, the others are like, oh I hate my job and wish I was still home in bed.
In the last year Burger King has gone down hill. the service is slow, the food is often wrong, cold and slopped together. I once waited in the drive thru for an hour and eight minutes, unable to exit of course. The staff and management or rude and unable to complete a positive transaction. I have called the 800 number only to get a run-around. After getting in touch with the appropriate personnel I was asked if they could have the manager of the store contact me. What seems to be the problem with good service. I have not returned to this store in months!!!!
I am writing this review with a lot of questions to ask. So far nobody will give me any straight answers. On May 6th there was a severe storm and the tornado sirens were sounding. The storm was scary to say the least. I would like for you to imagine a school bus pulled up at the door, sirens going off and a representive of 18 jr. high students at the entrance. At the same time this representive is on the phone with 911 being instructed to take shelter immeadiatly. Now imagine the individual in charge of Burger King refusing to unlock the door to allow the students into shelter. This so called supervisor repeatedly refused to open the doors.
Fortunately there are good people in this world and a customer went against the Burger King staff and unlocked the doors. In the end no tornado, and everybody safe. Just a question, what was in the mind of this person refusing children shelter in a scary situation. Hopefully, this was a decision made by an individual who was not capable of making that kind of decision, and not policy of Burger King. I don't know who the parton was who opened the door, but I want to thank them for doing the right thing.
If I am not writing to the wrong place, please direct me to where I need to go. A group of us( 7 or 8 of us & sometimes more ) meet there everyday( 6 days a week) for coffee. While there we buy snackes ( cookies, chicken stickes, ect. ) and several of us end up eating lunch there. We have been watching this place go down hill for sometime now, also we have seen people walk out and people that came on a regular basis for breakfast quit coming. They have started going elsewhere. Here is what we have observed, never see any one cleaning like you do at other eating places like McDonald's, ect. Consequently the place is none to clean. This morning there were napkins all over the floor, floors dirty, FF and other food pieces under most tables, and tables are not wiped off. At times the trash is so full you can't put another thing in and stuff falls out when you try. We all love the new fountain, but sometimes there is so much mess on it, it doesn't look fit to get drinks out of. In fact most of the time. Time and time again there is no catsup or napkins in the dispensers. Yesterday some of us ordered breakfast and we were told they had no jelly or plastic knives. We have gone there for dinner and wanted fish sandwiches and were told they were out. Who is in charge of ordering? The service is really bad, people have to stand and wait to be waited on even when they aren't busy. Sometimes there is no one around and they are not at all a very friendly group. We have seen patrons come in wait and after awhile walk out. We are worried that if enough business is lost this BK will close and we don't want that to happen. Can you pass this on to someone that can help turn this store around. One other thing the snow was never shoveled not one time, nor salt put down this passed winter. It got mighty slick and there were many near falls. Some of us wouldn't go to BK for fear of falling. Thank you
