Shanghai Chinese Restaurant, Emporia

It was okay. I normally order from Ruyi but they dont have chow mein on their menu and Shaghai did, I was also motivated by the numerous good reviews even though I have been warned by a few locals. The chow mein was tastey, I like the assortment of vegetables they use. I was disappointed in the lack of flavor in the wonton broth and it was a very small portion, only one wonton :( Also, the Lo mein had a overly slimy texture like maybe it was old I don t think I will be ordering from here again without some dramatic changes.

I have had Chinese food in a lot different places in this country and other countries when I was in the NAVY, next to authentic food from China. This is the best that I have had. Great Job

Ordered because they deliver. Food was bad, the only thing worth ordering was appetizers. Much of it was pretty far from chinese food, maybe some sort of americanized version? Too expensive for the food they give.

They have great serves, great food, and not to expensive.

BRAND NEW TO THE AREA AND LOOKING FOR CHINESE WHEN WE VISITED SHANGHAI AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE FOOD. THERE ARE 5 OF US AND WE CAME IN TOO LATE TO GET LUNCH SPECIALS SO IT WAS COSTLY. BUT STILL WE ORDERED THE HAPPY FAMILY, SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN, SHRIMP FRIED RICE, CHICKEN LO MEIN AND BEEF BROCOLI. THE SERVING SIZES WERE HUGE AND WE ALL DID OUR OWN BUFFET STYLE AT THE TABLE BY SHARING. GREAT EGG ROLLS, WON TON AND THE CHO CHOS ARE WORTH THE VISIT ALONE. LOL. IT IS AWESOME ATMOSPHERE WITH SOOTHING MUSIC. FAST SERVICE, CLEAN APPEARANCE.

The food is the Best Chinese in Emporia. They have very good service and the LoMein is great.

This is the only place we go for Chinese food. The serve is fast, the food is hot, most important the resturant is clean.

if you really knew what they did in the kitchen you wouldn't eat there-seriously-but the food is good
