15 years ago, Yia Yia's was the place to be in south Johnson County/Leawood/Overland Park. It was great for about 5 years or so. For the past 5 years, they have been in a steady decline. The offerings are mediocre at best and they still try to charge high prices for everything.
Service is usually good as they are rarely at capacity with seating. The word is out, Yia Yia's isn't what it used to be. They have brunches on Easter, Mother's Day, etc. AVOID the brunches! They are the same quality that you'd get a Denny's at about $30 per person.
The management tries hard to satisfy their customers but sometimes in life, your best just isn't good enough.
This is the best restaurant I have been too in Kansas. It's very pricey but worth every penny. The service is excellent and the food is first rate. The menu offers a wide variety of food.If you are looking to go out to impress that special someone this is the place.I personally love there calamari and feel it's the best in town. You will be pleasantly suprised with there huge wine and dessert menu. You must end your night with the tiramisu it's a dessert you will not forget.
