Our longevity in the marketplace can be attributed to our strong commitment to the customer. Under our corporate umbrella we own and operate unique and diverse concepts such as Fred P. WE MADE THE TERRIBLE MISTKAE OF CHOOSING OTTS FOR DINNER LAST NIGHT
WE HAD A SMALL CHILD WITH US AND I MERELY ASKED THE WAITRESS IF SHE COULD GET US A HIGH CHAIR. SHE TOLD ME I HAD TO GO GET IT MYSELF. WHEN OUR ORDER ARRIVED I MERELY ASKED ABOUT LETTUCE & TOMATOES AND AFTER SHE MADE A FACE AND A DISGUSTING SOUND SHE POINTED TO THE CONDIMENT AREA.IT WAS OUR FIRST VISIT AND WE WERE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE WAY THINGS WRE DONE .WON'T RETURN
Just got back from a less than lovely lunch at Fred P. Otts.
I ordered the CAROLINA Sandwich (bbq pork w/ cole slaw, side of bbq beans, fries and onion rings).
1/4 of the way into the sandwich, I started tasting and smelling something sour. I opened it up and smelled the cole slaw: it smelled like sour milk - so bad in fact that the friend next to me could smell it from her seat. I called the waitress and asked her to smell it. She assured me the cole slaw had been made the day before and it was fresh.
Aside from that horribly smelling slaw, the meat was hard and cold. My onion rings were drenched in oil and the fries were also just warm.
Around the table, others also complained about their fries and onion rings being soggy and cold.
I gave the waitress a nice tip because it's not her fault, I suppose, that someone is not in control of that kitchen. I've worked in the food industry for a long time and I know what good food (even bar food) is supposed to look & taste like - that was not food.
I wouldn't go back to that joint if you paid me and I hope that if you go, you please be VERY selective with what you order.
From my experience (my second there), I would say AVOID THAT PLACE!
PS: crossing my fingers hoping I don't get sick from that sour cole slaw. If I do, i'll be coming back to write another review.
