Took some friends here for lunch recently to expose them to some Korean food ...they had never had before ... I lived in Korea for 5 years .... lunch menu is limited but reasonably priced ... They have westernized the fair a tad bit though ... the Balgogi was shredded beef but still seasoned correctly ... meal come with all the normal sides ... they serve mondo ....wasnt bad but I prefer yakki mondo though ....kimchi was fresh and season mildly for the western pallet ... place was clean ... service was good .... although waitress wouldnt speak Korean with me.... she answered in English .... probably to be polite to my guests ...I'll have to try it for dinner sometime soon and see what thier full menu is like ... In all I would go again...

I agree, the food is amazing but the service was terrible!! It took them at least 5-10 for them to seat us and they only had 2 customers at the time! Very annoying. I would only go back for the food, make sure you plan accordingly or else you might be there a while!

The service is fine and the charges for non-entree-ordering customers is appropriate. Two things should be understood. 1) A lot of labor goes into the side dishes at a Korean restaurant. Most kimchi is handmade, hand cut and fresh. This gets very expensive and is the reason you have leftover meat at the end of a meal. 2) Korean service is on-demand only. That is, if you need something, Koreans expect you to ask for it.

i agree with the other reviews - the food is great, but service is horrible! the only thing that keeps us going back is the food, not the service. the last time i went w/ a group of friends we wanted to just order 'two' of the bbq menu items b/c it would certainly feed all six of us. the waiter came to ask us to order another one b/c the manager said it wasn't enough. the menu indicates the bbq entree feeds only two (yeah, right! it's more than enough for more than 2 people to share!) i said no, we don't want to order another one, we'll have too much leftover meat. we ended up ordering another 'single' entree to make up for it. well low and behold they charged us $3.95 for the 'extra' people! that's absurd. the service is always below satisfactory. the few servers they've had that are good have left to go back to school! i know language is a bit of a barrier, but service should still be good no matter what. my family (and we're korean by the way!) has been going there for years b/c it's the only good korean restaurant in the metro w/ good food, just bad service.

The food tasted good, but the quantity served for the OUTRAGEOUS prices at lunch was a highway robbery! And the service was the worst I have ever experienced. The waiter served us only one kind of kimchee (the cheap cabbage kind) when we could see that he was serving varieties of kimchee at other tables with their meals. I asked the neighboring table if they were paying extra for the extra varieties of kimchee and they said that those came with the meals. We were not served that. On top of that, his attitude was very bad. His attitude towards us was clearly different from his attitude towards the white and korean patrons. I know korean food very well because I had a good korean friend. I know and love the varieties of kimchee. Incidentally, I am a Bangladeshi American and I was a waiter while going to college. So I know how a waiter could be frazzled when it gets busy. But this guy was just being a bigotted ASS****. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL STOP EVERYONE I KNOW FROM GOING THERE TOO!

This is a pretty good Korean restaurant, as far as the food is concerned, very delicious. I prefer going on weekdays during lunch time, because it's not as overpriced. The help is not always the best, but after you get their attention, they will help you out.

Great Korean
By ,
I love this place. In fact it's my next favorite place 2nd after my own mom's kitchen. One thing is that it might be a bit pricey however well worth the money. Great place to go if you want to try something different and with your friends, or if you can't make Korean food yourself or have the time to do so.
