Andre's Confiserie Suisse, Leawood

I would like to start off saying your hot chocolate was great. My wife and I came to your store at 119th and metcalf for the first time today. We walked in and were greeted with a what do you need ...this struck me as weird and non-inviting. We asked for 2 hot chocolates and the gentleman working acted as if it was the first time he had ever heard of this and it almost felt like we were putting him out. While those were being made we were walking around the store looking in the glass cases and there was a girl that started to clean the glass right by us...I thought this was weird that they would do this why we were looking at the different selections right by her. I even looked at my watch, thinking...maybe we came in late and they re getting ready to close...no, it was 403pm. It felt as if I had walked in to some one s home and I was putting them out or that we didn t belong there...it was one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had. When we were in line to buy our hot chocolates and 2 candy bars...there were like 6-7 girls behind the counter just kind of walking around not really doing anything and we were just sitting there waiting...this was another thing that struck me as odd...it seemed like there were 10 employees in there not really doing anything and it seemed very chaotic and again it was the weirdest thing I have ever been apart of. But to be honest from the second we walked in, we felt like we were in the complete wrong spot...and I was just shocked how this place operates. It was like we walked in 20minutes past closing time. As soon as we left my wife looked at me and said how bad was that ...Im not really sure what else to say, I just thought I needed to write this. Have a good day.

This is one of my favorite luncheon restaurants. If you go during the meal hours the food is very good. Also, they have a menu they post online every month so you can see what is going to be served on any particular day. (Hint, if you are a vegetarian, go on a day they serve a vegetarian entree! They have limited kitchen abilities at the tearoom.) Otherwise, Andres is known as a pastry shop and chocolatier. Why would you go to a pastry shop/chocolatier and complain about sweets?! It's beyond me. Please people, get real!

Terrible service my wife called an hour prior to our lunch To tell them she is vegetarian. The disregarded the call and basically Did not offer anything. When we complained to the owner she was Not much help. She finally got something but very disapponting

I love going to Andre's. It's a great place to get together with your friends for a wonderful lunch that is out of the ordinary. It's close to shopping and has a quaint atmosphere. The food is great and you choose from a couple of entres. I usually pick up a desert to go from their bakery when I leave.
