Gates Bar-B-Q, Shawnee Mission

You wouldn't think much of this place when you first drive up on it. It looks like its in an old pizza hut resturant and parking is a bit lacking for as busy as it was. (around 5pm) Had a full rack of ribs which were $18.50, a drink, fries and slaw for $27 not bad for this area about normal. These ribs had some kick to them! I'd recommend the sweet sauce to tone them down if you arent a spicy fan. Plenty of meat on them bones had to take a doggy bag home! Slaw was good a little green peper for some kick in it but not too mayonaisy like some places. In all a very good meal for a reasonable amount of money. If you are in the area definately some place to give a try!
