I am writing this complaint against the manager of both Subways in Republic, Mo. Is it not an equal opportunity to get a job at Subway? She hires immediate family members. Her children are in management. She hires girlfriends/boyfriends of management. I have noticed she also hires close friends to herself and her children. Has anyone noticed this or is it not a big deal? To me this causes an unfair working environment to anyone that is not related to her or her family in anyway. Anybody that isn't close to her or her children may or are treated differently. Family members in the workplace create a conflict of interest if their loyalty is to their family before the company. This creates serious problems when family members defend one another or make decisions in the best interest of themselves versus the company as a whole. Definition of NEPOTISM: Favoritism (as in appointment to a job) based on kinship. This issue needs to be looked into to help people like me and others looking for a job in a economy that is in this shape.
I just went in today to the walmart location and got charged $14.60 for 2 foot long sandwiches. No drinks, No chips. I think I was ripped off! So much for the $5 foot long idea. I think I will just make my own sandwiches from now on.
