Got food poisoning!!! I didn't eat anything that day until I stopped there on the way home. I ate the chili and a ham and cheese sandwich. The chili looked old to me but I was starving. By the time I was ready to leave (about 30 minutes later) I had to run to the rest room so I wouldnt mess myself. All the way back to Tulsa I had cramping and diarhea. It's 20 hours later and I am still staying near the toilet. I keep cramping up and this is no good. This is a first for me!!!
Be carefull of where you eat. Sometimes cheap is not worth it, take it from me!!!
The fried chicken is awesome. I get this every time I go for dinner. The onion rings are slammin' and the fried mushrooms are great! This place is clean and does not stink. Some of the waitresses are ditzy or not hospitable at all. The food makes up for that or I would not have continued to go back. Small town place but very good food.
the food is awsome i make it a point to try something new every time i eat there. i love the chicken fried chicken and the home made mashed potatoes. its hard to find a restaurant that still breads their own food and makes every thing from scratch. another favorite of mine is the frito pie with home made chili and the home made chicken noodle soup is good to although i think the chicken noodle could be better with a veggie in it. possibly celery or carrots :) i am also happy with the new look :) if your ever in ozark try and stop by just to try it out :)
It formerly had a mix of old chairs and tables that were interesting but about a year ago they brought in new furniture that gives the diner a better feel about the cleanliness of the restaurant [as in old furniture looks dirty and IS hard to keep clean]. We generally enjoy our food at Rosie Jo's. They have a great hamburger. Their fries and onion rings are delicious and the portions are enormous. The chopped steak is very good. We have found that the veggie is seldom health friendly. We have found the choice is usually corn. It would be good if there were even green beans, but broccoli, carrots or a mix would be welcome. Our last experience with a salad left much to be desired. The pies are very good and often there is a little off beat choice [i.e. gooseberry, which is not everyones favorite, but nice to find in a 'small town care'].
The food at Rosie Jo's is the best. They have some of the best chicken tenders around! And their fried mushrooms are unbelievable. The last time we were there our waitress left something to be desired however the food made up for it. Out of many the many times I have been there this past experience was my only one with a bad server. I highly recommend Rosie Jo's.
